The contaminant type and rate of inorganic metal ion uptakes are influenced by the rhizosphere bacteria populating the roots of plants selected for phytoremediation. Exploring the root zone mechanisms and discovering what has impacted the compounds are keys to successful phytoremediation. Our custom kinetic assays can document the microbial changes and permit the evaluation of the enzymatic and microbial degradation components of the plant root microflora.
